I have all kinds of fret alignment bars but I needed something to work with single high frets and they are great for that! Can also be used for a fret crown replacing the $100 StewMac diamond crowns! You can use 325 grit to even out the fret and then use 1200 grit to smooth it out! I was surprised I had never heard of guitar techs using them but when the news gets out they will all be buying them! I also have a 6" x 2" DMT diamond sharpening stone for large areas of the fretboard. They are made in America and there is another brand called Eze-Lap that makes almost the same paddles as they do in America. Eze-Lap blades appear to apply diamond to metal differently than DMT. The Eze-Lap paddles are grainy and sandpapery, while the DMT stones are almost smooth in comparison. But they both work great and I think I like the DMT stones a bit more, they don't scratch as much.
