I am a trained industrial mechanic. I didn't want the cable to be visible to my new TV. I have a separate cable box and surround sound system. I have a Romex power cable, two HDMI cables (one for the cable, one for the eArc to the surround receiver), a center channel speaker cable and a TOSLINK (Digital Audio to Surround Receiver) cable and one unused (spare -) 14ga . (just in case) through the wall above my fireplace. I placed the cable box on two simple shelves. A high-quality power strip powers all elements, including the WiFi booster. I made a wooden box to hide any wires I could and disguised it by painting it the color of the wall to match. Other wires are in wire surface shapes that are colored to match. I don't have a soundbar, but it would make sense to use a duplex (dual out) kit if you're considering one. This kit, while not the most durable, was perfect for my needs.
