These latches offer an easy upgrade to standard rubber latches. In addition, they eliminate the hood shake that often occurs during driving in high speed or windy conditions. I find that they improve the overall look and are much safer. Installation on 2017 JKU "no-drill" simply snap or drill plastic dowel pins flush with base - replace latches. All you need are 13mm (bottom) and 10mm (top) sockets. In my case, access to the bottom nut was difficult, so I removed the grille, which gave ample room to remove/install. Even with the grille removed, the entire replacement took about thirty minutes. Sorry for the dirt but it's a jeep! Highly recommended!
