Review on 🏨 MidWest Petite Avian Hotel by Terry Basri

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I have had a great experience working with him over the past 2 years.

It has been over 2 years since I bought this cage from Amazon at a great price and decided to write a review about it now. It arrived in perfect condition. But it needed good instructions to put it together, still it was assembled in 30 minutes. Some parts required a rubber mallet to push the parts into the correct slots. Once assembled it looked great, sturdy and heavy! (Note: some screws were missing during assembly, but no big deal.) I have used this cage for my gray parrot as a sleeping cage and for long car rides. The cage is very strong and VERY HEAVY! If you are trying to move around the house with this cage a lot, then this cage is not for you. This cage is heavy, but if you can lift it easily, that's k. But for people who can't lift heavy things all the time, or for the elderly, you need to find another cage. I have this cage in the same spot in my house and very rarely move it unless necessary. 2 years constantly as a sleeping cage. My bird is pretty safe and happy in it all night. It has plenty of room to play and to attach a wooden pole or a variety of toys. The feeders are amazing, especially accessible from the outside! The door is big enough to let them in and out. It also has a small door at the top and between the big door, but I don't use it and keep it closed. A small door can be great for small birds to let in. This cage has withstood enough abuse from my gray parrot and is still in GREAT CONDITION for 2 years now. looks new every time I clean it with water. I use dish soap and soak it in water. So far no rust in the cage, no damage from parrot bites. This cage was painted silver. I wasn't used at all. maybe it's already dry. but so far it looks like new every time I rinse it. Pros: Durable, heavy weight, plenty of room for medium to large birds, you can mount various perches and toys, the bottom grid and tray are easily removable, you can wash or soak it in water for easy cleaning, the feeding bowls are from there accessible outside with separate doors and my bird doesn't sleep without it at night. I have a king cage during the day. Cons: VERY HEAVY, my mom and sister can't lift it. You need someone to lift it for you when you can't do it yourself. Adding to the heaviness of this cage, this is a great one-time investment for you. It is very durable and strong enough to withstand rough use. PS: Sorry for the long post! One last thing, this cage can be a temporary home when you're out of town and need someone to look after your bird at a friend's house. You don't have to move the big cage. just leave this cage with them. Food bowls are accessible from the outside for someone to feed the parrot because they are smart and may bite strangers if the bowls have access from the inside as is the case with most street cages. Overall a great purchase and I had a great experience with it. worth the money. Thanks!
