Overall these are great shoes. I ran in the Brooks Ghosts 14 and they were very comfortable but the way they are designed with a high heel made me hit my heel hard while running. I was starting to develop Achilles tendinitis, so several people recommended I try zero-fall shoes. I bought them without paying attention to people's recommendations. I just typed "zero boot" in the search box and this came up. I figured it wouldn't be too hard to try them because they're only $40. I wasn't expecting a minimalist shoe, but I decided to give it a try because I used to run in five-toe Vibram running shoes. But I stopped using them for two reasons: 1) they smelled awful because people usually wear this barefoot, 2) they were worn out. When I received these shoes they were very minimal and comfortable like 5 toe shoes but they were generic. Shoes without separate toes, so I can wear normal socks with them. I've ridden it twice now since I got it 3 days ago. They are very comfortable and far exceeded my expectations for a running shoe. I'm already buying a second pair now and plan on buying a third pair when I get my next paycheck.
