Review on Fluke 287 True-RMS Electronics Logging Multimeter: Simplify Your Diagnostics with Accuracy and Efficiency by Omar Gonzales

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Perfect! good for electrical

This is the first Fluke test tool I've used. Although it's quite expensive, it's worth the money. The accuracy is incredible, the build quality is very good, and the safety specs are reassuring. You can watch a YouTube video of how a cheap multimeter will explode if high voltage is used at the wrong setting; and then the Fluke worker holds the Fluke gauge while repeating the previous experiment and the gauge is fine. This meter has a ton of measurement options and is pretty easy to use. The backlight is really great, the screen is very visible. The only downside to the screen is that the numbers are somewhat masked as they change, which can make reading metrics difficult, although a bar graph is a good alternative. Doubt will save you hours of headaches and difficulties in diagnosing intermittent problems. The menu navigation could be better, but once you know where everything is and what to do, it's no longer a problem. The test leads are excellent; They're very smooth and don't kink, but they don't stay in the storage clips like I'd like. Overall I am very happy with this purchase. If you need a highly accurate meter, trending/tracking, and personal safety concerns, then this is your meter.
