Review on Enhance Engine Performance with Denso 1976040 Mass Air Flow Sensor by Michael Finnegan

My 2005 Non-Turbo Subaru Legacy Wagon (CA Emissions Ver.) 160,000 miles. I had to use both legs to stay idle and drive home. Also, for the last two years I've had a low idle almost to the point where I've had a slight idle judder from time to time when driving and returning to neutral. Bought and replaced the MAF with this new one and removed the airbox and cleaned the throttle plate area which was covered in sticky residue after 160,000 miles. Boom! The car runs again, the low idle is gone, the car runs great again. Note that there are two types of MAFs for this 2005-2008 Subarus era and the part numbers confuse people, even Revain. One MAF is about 1 inch wide at the top, the other is wider and taller. Larger part #226680AA31A is sold here. The best thing to do is go to your car and check which one you have and see how it looks physically before ordering. Two bolts will save you a headache :) If you ever find yourself in my situation, away from home and stuck, do not attempt to drive with two legs if you are inexperienced, just turn off the MAF and start the car . This should get you home in under 40km/h :)
