Correct replacement for Subaru Outback

Replaced MAF on 197-6040 with Subaru Outback 2006 with 4 cylinder engine and automatic transmission. This block was a physically exact replacement for the original block on the car. I chose this device based on input from others who said it was the right device, despite recommendations from Revain and Denso to the contrary. The IS block is listed as a correct replacement for a number of different Subaru models from the same era, including those that used the same engine as the Outback. Almost…

02 WRX Doesn't fit as well as OEM

Didn't expect any issues after reading the reviews but to my surprise it doesn't fit as snugly as the OEM, went into the air intake and didn't fully engage either on the engine. source too. None of the numbers on the box or unit matched my serial number, I had no code/CEL before and after so no problem. It just didn't feel right and at $121.xx (including tax, first class shipping and I'm a major contributor) I expected it to be the same in terms of bundling. Still Denso, but I'm not sure if…

Subaru Forester XT 5MT 2004

Powered by 04 FXT 5MT, helps with idle issues and allows for better tuning. I went through ghost hunting and learned this machine the hard way lol. Anyway, new O2 sensor, spark plugs, this part and the coil work fine. In the range of 3000-4000 rpm nothing falls in her face. If this problem or problems occur after replacing a part, perform a learn cycle at idle and drive the vehicle 50-80 miles. Subaru needs to learn and they always learn after 143,000 miles. My problem was that too many resets…

Working 2005 confirmed Legacy GT

I bought this after realizing my car runs much better with the MAF disabled. Even after cleaning, the old man just couldn't find his way. I, like many here, have noticed a very slight stuttering between 2-3k RPM which has become more noticeable lately. Right before I replaced it, I noticed that my fuel economy was down, I had a lot less power than before, and the car felt like it would flinch and throw me right out of my seat under normal driving conditions. The car also dropped very sharply to

I have a 2007 WRX Limited. I had .

I have a 2007 WRX Limited. I had an intermittent problem for almost a year that even 2 local shops didn't solve. Intermittent rough running with time lag at low throttle and low RPM. After many parts replacements including at one point the knock sensor and troubleshooting/fixing various minor issues that were causing the incorrect knock signal, the problem was still there. The last time I visited a Subaru shop they told me it could be the mass airflow sensor, although there were no codes or…

My 2005 Non-Turbo Subaru Legacy Wagon (CA Emissions Ver.) 160,000 miles. I had to use both legs to stay idle and drive home. Also, for the last two years I've had a low idle almost to the point where I've had a slight idle judder from time to time when driving and returning to neutral. Bought and replaced the MAF with this new one and removed the airbox and cleaned the throttle plate area which was covered in sticky residue after 160,000 miles. Boom! The car runs again, the low idle is gone…
