Do not use on carpet until no sticky dirt residue remains on carpet.
This just ruined the rug I was trying to protect. After sitting in place for over a few months, the sticky adhesion transferred from the trap to the carpet (it was advertised that this would not happen). The company reimbursed the cost of the tape in dollars. It was a nice touch, except it would cost >$1000 to replace the carpet unless there was a way to remove the dirt from the new carpet, which I haven't found yet. My advice: find a solution other than using this product. .
