Definitely holds the rug/rug but also doesn't remove the rug/rug from the floor after 2 weeks. It put holes in my carpet (which was on tile) because it's so durable. I can't imagine what it will do to my oak floor if I try to remove the 8x10 rug from it. I recommend, but only if you don't plan on ever removing the carpet from the floor.

This just ruined the rug I was trying to protect. After sitting in place for over a few months, the sticky adhesion transferred from the trap to the carpet (it was advertised that this would not happen). The company reimbursed the cost of the tape in dollars. It was a nice touch, except it would cost >$1000 to replace the carpet unless there was a way to remove the dirt from the new carpet, which I haven't found yet. My advice: find a solution other than using this product. .

At first glance the product does appear to work, but make sure you don't bother with the floor underneath. It didn't stick to the corner of any of the rails I had attached it to, so I decided to reattach the new tape to see if that would help. Well when I removed it from the old hardwood floor it undermined the finish a bit. The hardwood floor is old so it wasn't entirely unexpected but I was annoyed that it wasn't stuck to the new carpet but was stuck to the floor. I'll probably find something

Good price but oh my god this tape is hard to peel off. I only taped the corners of one side of the rug so I could roll up one side and vacuum underneath and since I have a rug under the rug I had a little trouble at first.
