No, big mistake. on Portable Audio & Video

I was listening to George Nouri and others promoting C.Crane radios and as I had to be in the high desert near Art Bell I decided it was on the time was Get a portable radio with solar power and dynamo capability. Well I spoke to the engineers at C.Crane on a different matter and they seem very smart and supportive. But this little Chinese radio, oh I'm surprised they sell crap like that. You can say just return it, but it's a 3 hour round trip and $30 fuel to the nearest UPS store. A return is therefore impractical. Suffice it to say he absorbs sometimes static, mostly deadly silences. I left it in direct sunlight for a few days, nothing. I cranked the dynamo until my hand complained, nothing. Well, sometimes it happens when she's on a station's frequency and the station tunes in for 30-90 seconds before she loses it. I know it's charging because the flashlight and watch face are on, but it uses so little power. My first clue should have been when the device arrived without a charger. Imagine Apple selling you a phone with a charger as an accessory? That's what C.Crane does with this little Chinese radio. Admittedly it's a remote place, but the rental car stereos have always picked up stations here, but even where I can get a cell phone signal and the car stereos always work, the little C. Crane Chinese radio doesn't show up. It was a really bad experience for me because of my love for Mr. Nouri and a few others who promoted the quality of C.Crane Radio. Apparently I bought the wrong one.
