Review on πŸ’₯ Boost Your Connectivity with the Sabrent Internal USB 3.0 Hub/Splitter (HB-INTS) by Brandon Christianson

Great little piece of kit; real lifesaver!

This article really saved my build. I can't stand unused front I/O ports. So I built my first ITX computer and realized too late that I couldn't support all the ports in my case with my motherboard of choice. This USB hub has multiple external USB ports that I don't need in my PC. It seemed a bit strange that they were honestly there. But maybe they will be useful to someone. I did not use a SATA power connector. I read about problems other people had and decided to test without it first. I tested with an external mechanical hard drive and an external CD drive. These were the 2 most power consuming USB devices I had on hand. They worked well when fed at the same time. However, your mileage may vary; It probably depends on the motherboard. I also used this to connect the USB Type-C connector to my front IO. Apparently it's limited to 3.0 (5 Gbps) but works fine. I really had to buy a 19-pin type-c adapter to internal for this to work. I installed it with magnets in the far corner of my case. The magnets are a bit flimsy, at least when connected with sharply angled cables. Maybe one day I'll tie it. You can also use double-sided tape. In the end I couldn't find anything else that does what this product does. Sabrent is a reputable company and this product is cheap. All in all I recommend this product to people in a similar situation.
