Review on HFP A27 Replacement Lightning Mountaineer 1990 1997 by Sean Liu

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Time will tell how well this works.

I have never understood why they had to inspect a product the day after it was received. I can only say what I know at the moment as I don't know anything about quality or performance yet. I'll edit and update this in a while and I have a better idea. The transaction worked great. Arrived in 2 days as they said. The packaging was fine. As for the product. Pros: It works and runs so quietly you don't even realize it's on. The fuel lines are included in the body. The float is screwed on like the factory float. Cons: Came with no diagram/instructions for attaching to mounting or wiring. You might think it's easy since you only need to match 1 red and 1 black wire, but. It had no fuel resistant (PTFE) wire connectors or information on what to use. He has different types of pipe seals and at first glance they don't appear to be. They are internal and almost invisible. It amazed me. The body doesn't quite fit. There is no space on top of this block to also bolt the assembly like there is on the factory case block. The assembly is wobbly now, not as tight as it came from the factory. The toe filter is already installed so you can't see the pump itself without damaging the filter. It is also smaller than the standard filter.

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • Security
