Good All Purpose Jack

WOLF Aluminum & Steel Low Profile Hydraulic Jack with Dual Piston Quick Lift Pump 3 Ton Capacity (6000 lbs) Black WFT830011LB We have lots of farm equipment so we could always find a good one use a jack. In the last three weeks we've used it to service and repair two cars, a truck and even a zero turn mower. They are easy to maneuver and position, and when standing on concrete the wheels move freely, keeping the body of the jack centered on the lifting point. Unpacking and assembly was easy. It was filled with hydraulic fluid, but you *must* follow the instructions for bleeding the cylinder in order for it to function properly. Dual pistons quickly raise the jack to full load and then smoothly transition to full stroke. Considering its 3 ton lifting capacity, this is a low profile jack. If you want a lower profile jack that is still sturdy, you basically need to buy a 2 ton jack. The aluminum parts are structural and fixed, while the piston, cylinder and lifting mechanism are made of steel. This is not really surprising since steel parts are more tolerant of overload and mishandling than aluminum parts, as they are more likely to break suddenly than bend. At 60 pounds, this jack weighs about 30 pounds. lighter than comparable low profile 3 ton all metal jacks. There is a carrying handle on each side, and the jack handle easily disassembles into two pieces, allowing it to fit completely in a car's trunk. Basically we are very satisfied. Highly recommended.
