Bought this for an elderly relative who already has poor eyesight and is bad with electronics. Home tuned to this channel. I have 4 base stations because they are easier to connect than batteries. I had some initial problems using the sidebars. another channel. They work, they're loud enough to be heard, and they're very easy to use. We had to put red stickers on the PTT buttons so she would remember which button to press. But they are way better than most home intercoms and about the same price. No privacy as they broadcast over quite a distance but for what they are used for that's fine. If you are looking to replace your home intercom then consider these as they work much better.
