Review on Portable Electric Thermos Heating Stainless by Danielle Erickson

Revainrating 1 out of 5

THIS THING WAS AWESOME. UNTIL IT EXPLOADED AND I HAVE A 1ST DEGREE BURNING UP AND DOWN MY LEGS.

*UPDATE REVIEW.* After taking it on a planned trip (in a suitcase with no liquid) it regularly started leaking hot water when cooking (very dangerous given the electrical contacts) but I realized that the plane pushing when driving or the fact that I was in the mountains way above sea level influenced it and maybe it would balance out. So yesterday I boiled water and it didn't leak so after letting the unplugged appliance sit and cool for about 10 minutes I started opening it and making tea. BOILING WATER EXPLODES FROM A CUP OVER MY ROOM FILLED WITH ELECTRONICS AFTER opening the lid and suffering painful burns on my leg. I don't know why he switched suddenly, but I could burn myself. My face could have been damaged, my child could have been damaged, or my electronics could have been damaged and I would have sued. This thing is unpredictably dangerous. Stay away. ************ I was concerned about the complexity of the filling. No, 9 out of 10. Of course you need a sink, but hey. Worry about it getting too hot to touch. 10/10 Does it cook quickly? 10/10 Fits in a large bag or book bag? 9/10Is the white case easy to clean? 10/10 However, this thick cord. I recommend finding a bag or soft zip tie for real travel as the cord doesn't coil well and is a little bulky. Making noodles etc while doing home renovations and moving between hotels/trips. It's more like a suitcase filled with water, it's quite heavy, a little bulky but for my needs it's what you get for the price. MARVELOUS.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • poorly thought out
