Good portable water heater but uses more power than advertised

Overall I'm happy with this unit for its portability and ease of use. I could work through my portable power generators so I could be a good camping tool. One downside is that my Kill-a-Watt detects a power draw of around 335-350 watts, which is higher than the advertised 300. This could be a deal breaker for some with lower wattage generators. Keep that in mind, but it's easy to use and great so far.

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • Hard to remember but it was

Good and decent kettle

Easy to use. It's not a cup. I remind you that this is not a cup. Only use it to heat water. The top isn't needed when heating water, but it helps keep the temperature warm. The top isn't the best. It is not designed to carry liquids so it may leak into your pocket. Heats water fairly quickly. I'm a flight attendant so this is perfect and fits on my EZ Bag lunchbox. Very wearable. Revain has smaller water heaters that can be stacked, but the water ends up tasting like plastic. This water heater

It splashed me with boiling water several times

I'm traveling for work and have used it quite a bit since I bought it 4 months ago. The other day when I open it, boiling water splashes on me. The first few times I thought it was user error so I try to close it completely, not overflow etc. However, the boiling water squirts out like it's pressurized every time I use it try open it. . I will replace it with the foldable kettle which I should have bought first. Anyway, it can't cook much at once, plus it started to burn on me.

Electric water heater in the shape of a thermos. Hot water very quickly. Easy to clean. The lid needs an update as liquid can pool around the edges and run/drip down the sides - no big deal. although. Tight after tightening with closed cap - no leakage with inverted cap and base (half full). I bought Korean instant coffee packs to add to it. Bottling plant 350 ml. Bottle with water 500ml. For your health! Enjoy. Excellent purchase. Be careful not to burn yourself as intended / remember to…

Love it and use it every day

I love this heated water bottle. I use it every day to warm up tea in my bedroom. It's fast and efficient. If you forget, it will start making a slight whistling noise. The outside is creamy plastic and the inside is some sort of metal/aluminum material. I envisioned heating water and then working with a lid but due to work from home covid restrictions I'm just using it at home. Don't forget to turn off the device when you leave the day because the device stays on. No automatic shutdown. I…

Use with care Suitable for kettle

I really like it because it heats water quickly and is great for on the go but should be used with care. Due to its portability, it falls a little short of the safety features people in the US are used to and you could easily burn yourself if you're not careful. It quickly heats water to a boil, but you shouldn't use a lid while it's heating and because of its shape, it could easily be knocked over. People complain that the lid doesn't screw on tightly and I don't think you would want that…

*UPDATE REVIEW.* After taking it on a planned trip (in a suitcase with no liquid) it regularly started leaking hot water when cooking (very dangerous given the electrical contacts) but I realized that the plane pushing when driving or the fact that I was in the mountains way above sea level influenced it and maybe it would balance out. So yesterday I boiled water and it didn't leak so after letting the unplugged appliance sit and cool for about 10 minutes I started opening it and making tea…
