Sometimes you just need a lot of decent quality paint at a reasonable price, and that's what you need. If you can get 16 ounces for about $5, you're getting a good deal. Yes, I know "serious" artists advise buying quality paints, but to be honest I'm an arts and crafts lover and I don't mind if my work is never shown at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Do I intend to keep my work for decades? No probably not. I'll be weary of him long before he starts to deteriorate. So if that's the case then I just need a large batch of affordable paint - it doesn't have to be the best. It just has to be good enough. FYI if you are in the acrylic casting industry I find this paint works well at a 1:1 ratio with Floetrol. Or even Floetrol plus some water to be sure. It is liquid and dries very quickly. A small canvas dries in less than 1.5 hours. Looks nice with the Minwax Polycrylic finish --- but to be honest I also used the glossy Mod Podge for the fine details and it was ok.
