Review on Beyerdynamic DT 990 PRO Open Studio Headphones - High-Quality Sound for Professionals by Kenji Mogi ᠌

Purely my opinion, IMHO, as a non-professional media user at home for entertainment. And so, I have: Sound X-Fi Elite pro; headphones for comparison - Audio-Technica ATH-M20 and Senhi HD-448 1. Music. I listen to both regular mp3 and dvd-a and flac. Sometimes they shoot in rock compositions, for example Guns N 'Roses, sometimes in electronic music. In general, there is very good detail, but there is no "musicality" - it's not very pleasant to listen to. For example, in my Senghs hd448 I can listen to Armin's sets for 1.5 - 2 hours during games and not really noticing that they are playing; but I still enjoy the sound. In "buyers" I can't listen to music for more than 30 minutes, this is largely due to the powerful bass, which after 10 minutes already begins to rumble because of my soft and tender eardrums. We have to reduce the basses either with a timbre or an equalizer, but this somehow loses depth. 2. Games. Here they are simply unrealistic to shoot. Gorgeous detail, very clean and pleasant sound. Excellent positioning (but thanks to the sound card). I compared it in different gaming headsets (albeit briefly, not for long), but all sorts of "Razer Kraken Pro" and somehow "Steel Siries Siberia" so they don't even come close to these Baers. 3. Movies. Movies shoot just like games (it's all in music comparison) Very pleasant and soft sound in films, good detail of all the little things. You don't even need to have some kind of high-quality recording to do this. I even watched some kind of interview on YouTube, so there you could hear someone rustling with a bag, birds chirping, someone behind the scenes leaves rustling underfoot. In general, I'm shocked! In other headphones (given above), this is either not audible, or is so blurred that you do not pay attention. As a result, I gave a rating of 5, although I was very sorry at first. But over time, they make me happy more and more, just like wine =))
