Review on Garmin Powersport Navigator Communication 010 02406 00 by Frank Rivera

Extremely disappointed, not really a GPS off-road track map

Very disappointing Firstly it has 7 Took hours to update and install all available maps, ok not that much. However, there are almost no off-road tracks on any of these maps, at least not in Arizona. So I download the Arizona Peace Trail gpx file and find that it cannot be loaded as a route because it contains many waypoints. I call support and they say I need to use a program called Garmin Basecamp on my computer to separate the waypoints into different groups. Basecamp looks like it was last updated 20 years ago. Then when I used Basecamp I found that it wouldn't even work as none of the topographic maps that come with it show paths between waypoints at all. So call back support has bad reviews because it doesn't have many trails. which would then still bring me back to trying to figure out the base camp program, how to split the trail into two separate trails and then feed that into Garmin research, another app and then eventually maybe get back on the track.

Pros
  • Preloaded topographic and street maps of North America including national land borders, US Forest Service roads and trails with vehicle use maps and downloadable BirdsEye satellite imagery
Cons
  • Some issues
