Not bad. Almost good, but far from excellent

Works as intended. plug and play Windows immediately switches the audio channel. I compare this device with three other audio output devices: 1. Built-in audio Asus Prime Z490-A2. Soundblaster Audigy Fx Pcie.3 sound card. Excellent DAC This device is sonically comparable to the Asus Z490 motherboard. Maybe a hint is better. It is not as good as the sound quality of the PCIe sound card. It's no match for the topping DAC. The volume at maximum is not too loud and clear. The sound card becomes much louder and the quality is better. The equalizer function of this device does not add any value. It would be better to use a Windows based software synthesizer. The USB ports work well with a mouse and keyboard. I have three different headsets: 1. Hyper X Cloud for Gaming2. V-Moda Crossfade (probably the best headphone out there).3. Cheaper Panasonic Headphones This Phoinikas gadget comes in handy because it eliminates the problem of short headphone cords. If your computer is on the floor (mine), this gadget acts as an extension cord for your headset, mouse, and keyboard. I imagine this gadget will be very valuable if you have a laptop with poor sound. For a premium PC build, though, I can't recommend this over a sound card. This gadget should be thought of as a preamp and not a sound card. update 05.09. I can't get the mic to work, I've tried different headsets. Microphone not working. Tried on 2 different Windows machines.
