Review on Daystar Universal Fairlead Isolator KU70039BK by Robert Espinoza

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Easy to install, inexpensive and neat. Also works with Warn synthetic and cable guides.

This rubber pad serves as a good grip for the winch hook and prevents it from getting stuck and hitting the car's bumper. I like this better than the bumper bracket as it doesn't chip paint or rattle. The Warn winch hook is removed with just a cotter pin and slides through a hole in it so you don't have to remove your entire winch. While the photo shows a rolling key, the insulator also has a "tongue" of sorts on the back so it clamps the key in the same way. If you thread the turnbuckle through the hole and press against the clew, it will hold the hook in place nicely. When the line is wound up, this isolator hangs on the line like a piece of its own weight, which is not a problem. Thing. There are some really good winch hook bracket kits out there, but for the money it's easy to install and affordable.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • No power
