Erg! Cheap! on pliers

Others said the same thing but I was hoping to get lucky. Shame on you, Crescent! cheap foreign junk. I've used it twice already, and the needle-nosed pliers quickly pull off the axle, after which it immediately falls off the object (in my case, the classic "drum brake tension spring"). The piece of red plastic on the locking lever broke and began to detach from another pair of small parrot-like pliers. Both had rough lock inserts, exactly the same cheap ones I already had in my toolbox. I bought them because the locking pliers are the last tool you're likely to use once everything is in the fan. At this point, you need quality gear that will get the job done before it gets any worse. These pliers will not be this equipment. They're just cheap junk.

Pros
  • Jaws maximum opening size conforms to ASME
Cons
  • Safety
