Review on 🔧 Complete Klein Tools VDV002-818 Coax Install and Test Kit: Includes Crimp Tool, Tester, Stripper, and Universal F Connectors by Maurice Hurd

I've tried using the compression nuts with some Belden EX6PLUS PPC compression fittings, but it didn't work. The crimpers are not adjustable and do not have enough stroke to do the job on their own. I ended up having to build a bushing/sleeve to fill the gap. The cable tester is supplied with only one remote control and without a barrel connector. I really don't get it. I bought this set with all the tools together because I'm new and don't know what I'm doing. I think I'm exactly the person buying this kit. But I didn't realize I would need a socket connector. Luckily I had one, otherwise the cable tester would have been useless. And people who do bigger jobs or know what they're doing probably need more than one remote control. So I don't really understand what target audience Klein has in mind. The scrapers worked great on both the dual recessed screen and the RG-6 open quad screen. If I had to do it again I would buy a cable tester (maybe the version of that that comes with other remotes as well as a barrel connector) and a wire stripper separately and I got an adjustable crimping tool - the cable guy showed me a crimping tool that he did used and it looked much more versatile. live and learn
