Review on Impact screwdriver Makita TD0101, 230 W by Jnis Uptis ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I like everything, the quality is good, the price is reasonable.

I really liked the screwdriver. It is enough to take it in your hands and you don’t want to let it go, how good the ergonomics are. If he had more power, at least 350-400 watts. that would be a fairy tale! But then the weight will increase. And so Shurik has a hard time. The engine heats up while the gearbox remains cold. For me, it would be better if he weighed more, but did not warm himself. Therefore, do not set impossible tasks for him, do not need fanaticism. Although it must be admitted, he can really do a lot. Use torsion bits, especially for impact screwdrivers, ordinary ones do not last long. For the home, corded screwdrivers outperform cordless screwdrivers as they are almost eternal, unlike batteries whose life is short. But the choice is yours. Good luck! This review was written by me back in 2022, but the "Makita TD0101 screwdriver" was removed from sale and suddenly the "Makita TD0101 screwdriver" appeared. But it is absolutely the same product.

Pros
  • Low price. In 2022, it cost just over 2,000. Very comfortable to hold in your hand! Weight distribution and ergonomics are perfect. Battery independent. This is one of the main advantages of this screwdriver. The second main advantage is that it is shock. Twists long self-tapping screws without pre-drilling, while the slots of the self-tapping screw do not knock down. The twisting speed is controlled by pulling the trigger and really starts from zero. Good rubber power cable but unfortunately not very long. Light weight.
Cons
  • When tightening a large number of self-tapping screws, especially long ones, the engine heats up. Apparently affects the low power - 230 watts. There is no motor brake like cordless screwdrivers. But the inertia is very small, practically absent. Therefore, this shortcoming can be considered a formality.
