I am using this USB hub to extend a USB port on my work laptop in my work machine. I need to connect 5 devices to it, but the USB ports on this device do not "sense" the USB plugs that I plug in. When I drive, the connections come loose very easily. I used to have an old USB hub (it didn't have enough ports so I upgraded to this one) that never had this problem. For now, I glued the USB connectors to this unit. It works, it glows blue to indicate power is present (nice feature), but overall it needs improvement. Feel very light and cheap. It's also worth noting that it doesn't include a 5V power supply, which I don't need for my purposes. If you plan to use this device for a permanent installation, that's probably fine. However, keep in mind that the connectors don't have much "grip" for what you're connecting.
