Review on Diablo Freud DMARG1210 SPEEDemon Granite by Wesley Carreras

Still working on rock drill bits

Over the years I have purchased several less expensive bits. None of them last as long as this Diablo beat. I mostly use size 5/32 for drilling pilot holes for self-tapping screws in concrete. I've used this larger one to make pipe holes in concrete and log walls. It works well in the Dewalt Atomic 20V Cordless Impact Drill. Through the cinder block, like clockwork. I can't even count how many holes we've drilled in the last three days. Maybe 30. Most through the air, but some completely block the full 8 inches. What I really like is the durability. The last hole is no worse than the first. It doesn't seem stupid at all. The other parts we had dulled and broke the block on the exit side. So far this is not the case. Happy user.

Pros
  • More holes per cordless impact and drill
