Don't trust the pictures and description. It's very small, about the size of a palm and no bigger. I recommend this to people who have 3 gallons or less. Not even 5 gallons, maybe 4 gallons depending on how you set up the tank, or a crescent shaped tank which is probably 3-5 gallons. I have a 3.5 gallon crescent shaped potfin tank, it looks very realistic and fits very well. Unless you have a smaller tank under 3.5 gallons then don't expect it to be bigger than I expected. Since my tank is fairly new, I decided to boil it for an hour and put it in cold water. until I was ready to put it in. I didn't see any tannins leaking out during brewing, considering it's not wood, it's resin, and other unknown/known chemicals that might seep into my tank. Once in boiling water, it will not overcook or ruin artificial moss.
