Review on 💻 NETGEAR XAVB5004: Powerline 500 Mbps Network Adapter Kit with 4 Ports – Enhanced Connectivity Solution by Michael Lara

I didn't install my xavb5004 to scatter multimedia devices but mainly to solve problems I had since I moved my home office. Our broadband internet connection is in the living room at the front of the house and my study is at the back. After moving my computer I was only able to receive 1 band on my wireless connection and trying to copy files to storage devices on my network was unsuccessful. After installing the 5001 in my living room and connecting it to the same router as the cable modem, then installing the 5004 in my office, I connected my computer to the 5004, ran the software and connected everything the first time. I turned off WiFi on the PC and ran some speed tests. The download speed wasn't much better, but the download speed was 4x faster than when using the wireless network. And the connection is very reliable. Yes! I've just done this so I'll update if anything changes, but if I get the same results within a few weeks I'll buy a 5004 for my husband's home office. I also added an Ethernet storage device (World Book) to the 5004 in my office for other devices on the network to access. I don't know if it helps that my main router is also Netgear, but I applaud Netgear for making something so easy to use out of the box.
