This is a simple lock commonly used for sheds and similar backyard projects. I installed it on my two door do-it-yourself shed and it's just what I needed. I was pleasantly surprised that all parts are metal and not plastic and that it has a lock and key. This way I don't have to fit a separate lock and doorknob, the handle rotates and acts as a doorknob and locks in the closed position. Simplicity and time savings in installing and painting auxiliary equipment. Of course, this is a very light defense, but it works. My advice is to measure everything well before drilling the hole for the shaft. The inner locking part should be close enough to lock the door but pass freely when opening. I recommend this product.
