We needed an extra carrier for trips to the vet. I chose this one because it zips open at the top, side and front, assembles in seconds, has a washable pad, two types of straps and is reasonably priced. It also has a slip pocket at one end, which is great for storing kitty's health records. It just fits my female, Sable. She is 13 1/4" long from base of neck to base of tail; she weighs 13.6 lbs.--she's a little bit chunky. I set it up on Saturday. She checked it out for a few days and then on Tuesday, she went inside to chill out. I got a grey one; it's very nice looking.
