Form over function for stovetop espresso and mocha pots
The triumph of form over function. While it's very pretty, the designers seem to have been more concerned with looks than actual utility. Thick backflow into the lower chamber, an issue I never had with my $20 wine cellar version. The bottom is unusually narrow, which means you can only cook over low heat. The taste was ok after 5-6 uses but other issues made me return it.
