First, let's describe how I'll be using the monitor: I use it as a TV when connected to devices like a Roku, Fire TV Stick, or a Kodi-based Chromebox. I also use it as an external monitor for my early 2014 13-inch Macbook Air. Connectivity: My regular single-value mini displayport HDMI cable only supports 1080p instead of native 1440p. I bought a new 6ft Premium DisplayPort 1.2 Male to Mini DisplayPort Male cable that connects my laptop to the monitor's full-size display port. At first, I was concerned that the Air would not be able to output native 1440 content, but i checked the output and it works fine with no stuttering to be honest 99% of the content is in 1080p anyway but it's nice to know you can display higher resolution content and as a monitor this is a very good display I would give it a 9 out of 10. It's definitely not a $2000 display, but
