I'm running mine with an Nvidia GeForce 740 via HDMI at a 30Hz refresh rate and there's no visible lag, either with movies or X-Plane. This is a pretty good monitor. The biggest weak point is the HP software and the supplied manuals. The manual isn't detailed enough, and the HP My Display software that's supposed to help you set it up is rubbish. Never worked, brightness not adjusted immediately, monitor stuck at 100%. It replaces the D**l Ultra Sharp U3011, which failed after a little over 4 years. I think it has a much better image and less than 1/3 the price. The 3011 doesn't have the wider aspect ratio, which I like about this monitor. You will also receive B&O loudspeakers as a gift. I think they are better than previous Beats speakers. BEWARE! The main body of this monitor is made of lightly textured PURE WHITE plastic. It is not mentioned or shown in any picture. The white case doesn't match the black frame of the monitor or the silver stand. If the wall you are mounting or placing the monitor on is not white, it will stick out. Great picture after realizing I can only use the mini DP to DP cable from my MS Surface. However, for a monitor that praises the speakers' capabilities, they are terrible. At full volume, they are hardly pleasant to hear. My iPhone is louder! If speakers aren't important, chances are you'll be very happy. If you want a beautiful picture with great sounding speakers, there are definitely better options. Too bad good speakers would have made this an easy 5 star product.

The PBP (Picture by Picture) function does not work as advertised. On the introductory side, the PBP function receives 2 inputs, and each input occupies half of the screen. But this is not a real situation. In fact, the PBP feature maintains a 21:9 ratio on both inputs, so the overall ratio is 42:9. This creates 2 huge black bars at the top and bottom. One of the main reasons I bought this monitor was "B&O speakers" - I wanted a great sounding monitor so I didn't have to have separate speakers, cables and wall warts that came with them. This monitor only works properly when using DP ports on the monitor and graphics card. As long as I'm happy with that, more than 60Hz would be nice, but I knew that before I bought it. HP's information about its specifications with advertising should have been more explicit that problems could occur if DP connections were not used. . I had an HP 2511x 25" and wanted something more. I bought an LG 29UM67-P and it had horrible flare and widescreen really wasn't for me so I returned it. I bought this amazing monitor and couldn't be happier I will never choose another brand for my monitors again, just click buy, you won't regret it.
