The monitor itself is fantastic. However, I can't give it 5 stars because the description says the speakers deliver great sound quality. The speakers sound terrible. I was excited to clean up my desktop, part of the process involved removing my 8 year old Bose computer speakers. The Bose speakers blow away the speakers built into the monitor, so the Bose speakers stay there. More specifically, the speakers built into a monitor do not produce low-frequency sound, so music coming out of them sounds cheap. maybe an equalizer?), but they said the sound is controlled by my computer. I use Mac Mini. Playing with the equalizer via iTunes definitely changed the sound, but I still can't get the "rich" bass element to work.
