Review on 32In X 84In Sliding Barn Door Kit With 6Ft Hardware & Handle - Pre-Drilled Solid Spruce Wood Panelled Slab, K-Frame | SMARTSTANDARD by Robert Chandrasekar

Good low budget door

The door came in a nice box with all the boards wrapped for protection. Mine came with zero shipping damage and had all the pieces needed to assemble and install. I was surprised to see wood begs to plug the large assembly holes, nice touch.Assembly was easy and direction provided plenty of info to figure out how to do it. The boards are labeled to easily identify which is which and they even provided a long bit for the screws as they are recessed. I did have a package of inner boards that were warped some but was able to still install with out much trouble, just had to work the tongue and grooves together. Overall assembly using a drill took me about 10 min, I did build mine on a table with the door flat. The rollers glide easy but I do have one roller that isn't smooth so I get a clunk noise Everytime that spot hits the steel runner.I wish it came with 2 handles and not just one as I want one on the edge of the door and the inner face also. The trim on the door frame hits the head of the bolts with out a header board to the point I can't close the door. I didn't want a header board as it looks better with out one and I wanted a tighter seal on doorframe to stop more noise. They don't provide the header board either. I used a 1x4 pine board that worked without any issues.I wanted my door to open all the way and overlap the openeking good on both sides and to be able to do this with the steel runner the holes wouldn't lign up with the studs. I wish steel runner had two sets of offset holes instead of one set that are 16" apart. If the steel runner was 6" longer that would help for this also.Last thing is some of the inner boards stained way darker then the others. If your painting your door this wouldn't be an issue.also I would stain or paint the door and the outside cross pieces separate then install the cross pieces, this way you can get into the tight gap between them.if you paint them you can use some wood putty to fill the gap.All in all this is a good door and for the money. I would buy the door again.
