Overall this is one of the best tank heaters I have ever owned. It is reliable and maintains a constant temperature in the tank well. It is easy to adjust and easy to clean. What I like best is NOT GLASS. I don't have to worry about it breaking when cleaning. A couple of very minor downsides: I have a 75 gallon fresh water tank. The temp gauge on the unit is set at 74 but my water temp stays at 76. This temp drift is MUCH not as bad as other units I've had in the past and again it's reliable and consistent. Maybe this discrepancy is just because of my particular setup. Perhaps there are no differences at all from other tanks and situations. The device is large and wide so that it is easily visible. It doesn't really matter to me, but some might find it intrusive in a tank environment.
