LIQUID FILM WORK WITH EXTENSION NOZZLE, only needs to be heated beforehand. I found a forum thread about a guy using Fluid Film after heating it in a hand held spray bottle to make it less viscous. He can, then there's no reason a 90psi pistol can't work! Since many reviews said the extension cord didn't work, I decided to try heating. There were no problems. I used a fondue cooker that looks like a small pot. Others heated a can of Fluid Film by dipping it in a pot of water on an electric stove. However, only a fine mist is to be expected from the extension nozzle. This is bad? NO. It atomizes a film of liquid and creates an almost spherical spray pattern. When you're under a car in the dark, you don't even see the film of liquid coming out. Hold it in the sun and it's pretty obvious. I suspect another problem is that people spray with the regular nozzle first and then switch to the extension tube. Since there is a huge difference in volumetric performance between the two nozzles, I can see where one might think the extension isn't working. I would say it would take 3 slow passes in one spot to get the amount atomized with a regular nozzle. I have used this gun to spray Fluid Film and HF brand bed pads. While I could probably benefit from an adjustable bedding nozzle, that doesn't matter to Fluid Film. You simply adjust the gun's air pressure and strike pattern. So if you're not into something that requires aesthetic requirements, this gun is perfect for you. Even then, my bumper turned out to be perfect for someone who had no experience using an air compressor to paint objects. I deducted one star partly because of the misleading description of the variable nozzle. This is not the last. The other part of a star is the brass fitting at the end that the nozzle screws into. There must have been some type of thread sealant on it that made it impossible to remove without damaging the aluminum body. I took it off to clean the sheet from the hole and put it back on with teflon. So I don't think it's easy to clean if it can't be easily taken apart.
