Review on SIIG Premium HDMI Splitter 60HZ by Elton Luo

My use was solely to send a signal to an additional PC to act as a streaming PC. In order not to get a 1080p resolution on my PC monitor, I decided to use a splitter. The first one I bought had problems due to EDID issues on my monitor. On this I was able to select 4k 60Hz 2.0 using the toggle switches on the back of the unit and had an image. There were problems trying to route a signal through too many devices, but not because of the splitter itself. For example, if you take a signal from my PC or my console and send it to a splitter, with one side going to my monitor and the other goes to my audio/video and then to my streaming PC, it doesn't work properly. I ended up having compatibility issues when trying to use the splitter and toggle on stream so I could switch between consoles and PC, but it turned out to be an issue with my monitor. After connecting this device to my streaming PC and to my TV, I had no problems anywhere, but it wasn't the setup I wanted. For those interested (or maybe want to do what I did), a splitter with output 1 to my 4k monitor and output 2 to my streaming pc. I've had success with 1080p 60. Anything above that isn't an option due to the limitations of my capture card. I am using Elgato HD60 Pro. So if you want to split the image into 4k and 1080p, it won't work. To do this you need a scaler between the splitter and the capture card. I'm pretty sure this splitter will work well with the new Elgato 4k capture card that I'll be switching to very soon to run my Xbox One X and PC in 4k. When I can do that and confirm everything is working properly (4k 60 HDR) I'll update my post. For those wondering what monitor I'm using, this is the Asus MG28U. I had a lot of issues with this monitor and the HDMI 2.0 port didn't work properly with most things I tried to connect to it other than a Pascal based Nvidia GTX GPU.
