Not what I needed. good for satellite tv

I'm sure some of those looking at this splitter like me just got it with a nice new 4K TV and Blu-ray player upgraded only to find that we can't pass the HD audio bitstream to our old 1080 AV receiver. On my new LG OLED TV, the Audio Return Channel (ARC) only sends the main audio (i.e. DTS from DTS HD Master) (Onkyo TX-NR708 AV receiver circa 2010). So I was looking for a way to stream 7.1 DTS HD main audio to the receiver and also send 4K video from the LG U875 UHD Blu-ray player to the TV. It

Cannot watch 4K HDR and Dolby at the same time ATMOS

I bought this splitter with the intention of watching 4K HDR videos with ATMOS audio but it didn't work for me. I have an Apple TV 4K, Sony Bravia X85D 4K HDR Ultra HD display, ONKYO HT-R693 ATMOS AV receiver with ATMOS support and three Belkin Ultra HD High Speed HDMI 6.6FT cables. I connected the Apple TV to the splitter and the splitter's HDMI output ports one to the TV and the other to the receiver. Works and is easy to use.

My use was solely to send a signal to an additional PC to act as a streaming PC. In order not to get a 1080p resolution on my PC monitor, I decided to use a splitter. The first one I bought had problems due to EDID issues on my monitor. On this I was able to select 4k 60Hz 2.0 using the toggle switches on the back of the unit and had an image.
