I used this to temporarily move my webcam from my office computer to my party living room. I was skeptical that USB would work at that distance, believing that it might need ideal conditions or something. But I just plugged it in and it worked. Even when working with large amounts of data, for example when recording with a webcam. I don't know if others work or not as extensive testing with different brands etc has not been done. But I can safely say that this one did its job.
