Works fine WITH ONE BIG EXCEPTION. If you broadcast it at "normal" resolutions - 800x600, 1024x768, 1680x1050, 720p, etc. - then the signal will pass through and the quality will be excellent. However, when connected to a PC, the 720x400 plain text mode used by the BIOS *does not* pass through the adapter. This ruins it for me because I was hoping to use an adapter with my HDMI KVM switch to connect older PCs without HDMI and DVI to my KVM. When I'm not running in 720x400 mode, I can't access the BIOS, read diagnostic messages, or anything like that. HDMI can obviously use 720x400 mode since my HDMI based machines can send it to my KVM switch (and my monitor identifies it as 720x400) so I'm not sure why this adapter isn't sending that mode. Let's say old Macs, but almost every Mac I can remember made in the last 12 years can at least output DVI. It can also be used for some non-computer devices that output VGA. The USB sound card that sends its output to HDMI audio feels and works well, but it can be a little disappointing if you don't know the feature is there, as your computer may decide to go with HDMI Audio switch adapter.
