We were on our way to South Africa and wanted to buy some night binoculars so I can see the wildlife at night. I certainly wasn't disappointed with the performance of these night vision binoculars. If you've bought night vision binoculars, you've already realized how expensive they can be, and you may be considering choosing a telescope type over binoculars. These binoculars worked great in total darkness, but we found that your vision deteriorated significantly when using the binoculars, even in widely lit locations. The bottom line is, the darker, the better we found the visibility. That's a power of 5, and while that doesn't sound like much, we found it to be more than enough. Most of our properties were less than 50 feet away and we had great views that distance. You can increase the spacing a bit, but the quality of the article is starting to teach a lesson. These are first generation binoculars and unless you have a military source for the more advanced types they are about as good for the price as we've seen on the market. loads. The top of the binoculars has an adjustable focus. The device has two high-quality image intensifiers of the 1st generation. The optics are made entirely of glass and the pair has a soft-touch coating. There is a soft neck strap. They're a bit heavy at 38 ounces, but we brushed that off quickly as we could see wildlife in the bushes. Animals could not be seen at all with the naked eye. The narrowing of the binoculars seems to be very good. The company claims these binoculars are the most advanced and popular night vision binoculars in the industry. We are very happy with our purchase. As a side note we bought 6 extra batteries for the Revain in case one battery died and we can't find a suitably sized battery in the wilds of Africa.
