Simply remove the old connector, gently press the tab on the front of the old 7-pin connector's retainer and twist to remove. Insert the new one and twist it in the opposite direction until it clicks into place. I used the lube that came with the kit, lubricated the pins and replaced the plug with the back of the new fork. Works great, nice not having to use a separate adapter from 7 to 4. It was $20 cheaper than a local tractor supplier for the same item, which isn't always the case on this platform.
