Review on T-fal Pro E760SC Performa Stainless Steel Cookware Set, 12-Piece – Dishwasher and Oven Safe, Silver, 0 Model by Antonio Lemm

It's actually more of a 10-piece dinnerware set with extra scoops.

We have been using Belgique stainless steel cookware for 24 years, although the handles on our old set are not heat resistant and are showing some wear after almost a quarter of a century. We were excited to try this T-Fal set of 14 stainless steel kitchen utensils. Right off the bat, we noticed that the stainless steel on these pans is a bit thinner than our Belgique set, but the silicone ridges on the ergonomic handles are a huge improvement over our Belgique. The number of 14 parts seems a bit disingenuous given that their number 1) 1.1 liter saucepan 2) 1.1 liter saucepan lid 3) 3.2 liter saucepan 4) 3.2 liter saucepan lid5 ) 3. 5 liter6) 3.5 liter skillet lid7) 5.5 liter frypot8) 5.5 quart grill lid9) 8 per pan10) 10.5 per pan11) 1/4 teaspoon measuring spoon12) 1/2 teaspoon measuring spoon Spoons13) 1 teaspoon Measuring spoons14) 1 tablespoon Measuring spoons Commonly when a dinnerware set is advertised as having a specific number of items, they count the lids separately (which I disagree but accept as an industry standard), but the inclusion of measuring spoons, which are counted by the piece, pretty stupid. I would call this a 10 piece set with a bonus set of shovels. I was really excited about the idea of the dishwasher safe tableware as our Belgique can only be washed by hand. As it turns out (and I should have guessed) they recommend hand washing, but they can be washed in the dishwasher. We're determined to end up washing them in the dishwasher to better test their durability and convenience, but I'm annoyed that our dishwasher requires a lot of pre-rinsing. So pre-washing them makes them too light to brush a little more and they're ready to dry and ready for the next culinary challenge! Since there are only 6 pots in this set, I love having them ready to use! T-fal is best known for its non-stick surfaces, but with all the new information about how dangerous these surfaces are, the sane industry is moving away from them. I was excited to try this new "techno version" to see if it might be more practical than our regular stainless steel bases for cooking certain foods, especially eggs. Techno Release was actually slightly more efficient than our smooth stainless steel floors. (Note that this cookware set can only be used on or under medium heat.) After boiling eggs or other sticky foods (like caramelized maple from breakfast sausages), I added a tablespoon of baking soda and some water to the pot. and let it simmer for a few minutes, then turn it off. Sticky foods separated well and the pan was easy to clean. We actually had a very strange experience the first time we used a frying pan, which prompted me to make a mixture of baking soda and dish soap and wash all the frying pans thoroughly. We followed the instructions and washed the new pots thoroughly with warm soapy water, but that didn't seem to be enough for the first use. Our first egg boiling experience turned the eggs gray?!? (See first photo) Phew. I know the reasons why eggs can turn gray/green (e.g. overcooking the eggs) but those factors were NOT the issue here. This happened almost immediately after we started cooking the eggs, so I'm pretty sure it was invisible. something in or on the pan. We threw in the first few eggs, rubbed them in a mixture of baking soda and dish soap, then tried again and they were great! We were very happy with how sauces and dishes are prepared in it. The lids are a bit loose but the grips are good and the ventilation is comfortable and works well so the lids don't bounce around from all sides. One of my favorite features of this cookware is that all pots can be safely lifted into the oven. up to 400 degrees, with the exception of the Dutch Oven which is safe to 500 degrees (because the Dutch Oven handles are only stainless steel). As I mentioned, the handles on the Dutch oven are all stainless steel, but the rest of the pots have what's called a "silicone sleeve" when it's actually about 3/4 of a handle (the very top is open). The handles also have hanging holes. I like the feel of the ergonomic handles. They are comfortable to hold, even when full. Measuring cups are fine, but counting them with your pot and pan set is tricky. very nice! They could definitely be a bit heavier and while I like the techno version I really wonder if the raised design would help make the floor more productive.
