Dealer Recommended

I recently purchased a Forest River Flagstaff tractor and needed to replace a faulty Cavagna propane regulator with a dealer recommended Camco 59005. The Camco looks and feels a lot more reliable than the Cavagna and has performed well so far. My only issue with Camco is similar to many other reviewers; No matching bracket is supplied, although they do include two screws, a template and instructions on how to re-drill and use the existing bracket, in my case a Cavagna bracket if the holes don't match the template. They didn't. And the Cavagna mount had such grooves that I had to drill holes along the edges of the grooves, making it almost impossible to line up the holes properly. I drilled two holes as best I could and then used a small chainsaw file to widen the holes to match the template. And then when I adjusted the bracket and mounted the regulator to the threaded post that holds the propane tanks, I found that the Cavagna bracket was too small and didn't leave enough room to tighten the large wing nut. The wings would hit the regulator. Of course, this was an easy fix; I used a vise to bend the wings so there was enough clearance. Another issue I have is that the green/red light is dim and difficult to read, especially when using a hard propane cap. The red/green indicator should be up. Even after these complaints I gave it 4 stars because all of the above is actually a mild annoyance compared to the fact that the controller worked perfectly once installed. But it is beyond me why a suitable mount is not included or available for purchase.
