I bought this ramp based on the good reviews and advertised load capacity. I had trouble finding anything for a large breed dog (120lbs+). Of course, the first thing we did after opening was to assemble it. To my surprise, no assembly was required. It opens easily and is very smooth. We then tried it with our 130lb mastiff. The ramp stayed level and straight as it went up and down on our new Tahoe. That was the reason we kept it. Why 3 stars? The sandpaper material on it is very thin. As soon as his nails touched the surface, the material was completely scraped off. Very poor quality in that regard. As this is the fourth ramp we have tested in the two weeks since we got our new car (hence the need for the ramp) it is the only one that hasn't buckled at all on my boy. We decided to keep it despite another defect. If you have a large breed dog, then this is definitely a great option. I'm sure it will suit my big boy as well as our Great Danes and Saint Bernards.
