Review on Top-Quality Tofu Press: Efficient Water Extraction from Tofu Block, Integrated Strainer & Drip Tray, Dishwasher & Refrigerator Safe - Enhanced Flavor & Texture by Todd Nordine

Works but has flaws - it's a real brake

I had another similar ab from Revain and I returned it without even using it because it was so weak. This product is much better in build quality. The parts feel thick, stiff and durable. The spring is much thicker than the other. The clasps rotate on a metal pin rather than a plastic flap. And he does his job. Most of time. Even after several hours of pressing, there is still a surprising amount of water in my tofu. Enough that I can get more with just a light palm squeeze. I think the device just runs out of breath and can't finish the work. It probably depends a lot on the brand, shape, and style of tofu you buy. If I want *really* dry tofu, I still use a skillet and kitchen towel. As others have said, it can also be very difficult to close. I lifted my feet off the ground and put my full weight on the thing to lock it in place. This will show you how strong she is, but such a big effort is really unacceptable. I want the fasteners to be changed to "Latch" or "Cam". Finally, if you don't have a dishwasher, just skip this one. FOUR pieces just aren't worth hand washing! For the price, I think these flaws are acceptable and I'm not "crazy" about them, but I'd rather buy something that would actually make my life easier than something crude Tofu and extra dishes to wash.

  • Looking forward to it
