The only reason I need this case is because the ones you buy at your local auto parts store don't fit. This was for my 2003 Cadillac CTS, my remote worked great, my case was broken. So I took the guts out of my old one and transferred them to this new one. So I can't tell you if the remote part works, but I took a look at the circuit board and it looks very similar. So it looks like it will work. But if you like me and just need a new case. It fits perfectly. Looks like OEM
