This product has its pros and cons. On the plus side, it's a good looking product and the shower settings are a nice change. On the other hand, like most sanitary fittings nowadays, they are mostly made of plastic. The exception is the guide bar itself, and the hose is encased in a metal casing. The rest is all plastic. I've had two warranty issues in the 8 months I've had. First it arrived with a crumpled brushed nickel finish that was peeling off one of the slider's plastic mounts. Moen sent me a free slider with replacement brackets. Second problem after 8 months was the metal coil housing around the hose coming loose from the threaded end that fits into the shower head. About a day later, the rubber hose itself burst from the pressure of the water. Here, too, Moen will send me a replacement tube free of charge. Warranty service has been top notch so far, but a two-year warranty for the first year doesn't bode well for a durable product.
